I am 30.
I'm not going to lie I felt sorry for myself all week.
Joseph mentioned going to Cori's on Friday.
I didn't think anything of it, it's typical.
Friday arrived Joseph called and reminded me.
This should have tipped me off, I do the reminding.
We arrive. I see a bounce house and still don't think much.
What I do think is "awesome now the adults will actually be able to talk for once"
I get out of the car and see a sea of bodies wearing black.
I'm stunned. I don't like surprises.
I was the kid who slit the tape on Christmas presents and taped them back up.
Not proud, but true.
No one screams "SURPRISE" but they all grin and there is chorus of "HI! Happy Birthday!"
So awesome.
I still have no idea how he pulled it off.
Well yes I do. I have incredible friends.
This party was amazing.
The food was catered by Chik-fil-a. my fave.
There was a bounce house the size of our first apartment. It had 2 stories. CRAZY.
A baby bounce house.
Cotton candy machine.
Tombstone cake. Merianne is amazing. so yummy.
Most excellent grim reaper, iv tubing with blood into the lemonade, tombstones with hilarious epitaphs, black everything, everywhere.
So awesome.
He wrote the most hilarious obituary for the party invite.
He went to some great lengths to keep it a secret.
I check all his emails daily so I can keep a current family calendar and to keep him on schedule.
It was such a wonderful evening filled with great friends and family.
I'm a very blessed lady.
I will always remember this wonderful night.
Thanks Joseph.
