Jack's 1st day of Pre-K

Today was Jack's 1st day of pre-k!

I cannot believe my little buddy is going to school 5 days a week. He came running out of his room this morning, yelling at the top of his lungs "Today is the day I've been waiting for! I get to go to school! It's been a loooong summer!"

HAHAHA!!

He walked into his classroom and joined all of his friends from last year. He was so excited to see his 2 best buddies. He was concerned and sad because he didn't think one of his BFF's (Dylan) was coming back to school. But he was there and instantly gave him a huge hug when he saw him. When I came to pick him up he was so happy, grinning from ear to ear. His teacher Miss Mickey said he had a great day. Always nice to hear. On the way home Jack reported that his teachers called him Curious Jack because he was checking out every.single.thing. in the classroom.

I just laughed because I am not surprised.

I love my boy.

Hurricane Makeovers

During the hurricane a few weeks ago Abbey and I had had enough of all the wrestling going on between the boys so we snuck upstairs to do makeovers. My makeup box is like heaven on earth for Abbey. Most mornings when I am getting ready she will come in the bathroom sit and go through all my makeup. It's so cute. I can remember doing the same thing with my Moms makeup but unlucky for me she wasn't much into makeup but Abbey is a lucky girl because I am a product junkie.

We brushed and curled, sprayed and fluffed. We had sparkles and glitter and gloss all over the place. It was so much fun. I even let her do my makeup which was super fun. :)

She is such a sweet thing.

1st grade

Abbey started 1st grade last week. She was super excited. She got the teacher she wanted...or should I say she didn't get the teacher she didn't want. :)

She has 2 of her favorite boys from her K class and 1 of her favorite girl friends from K.

It was pouring down rain the entire first week of school and the 4th day of school was cancelled.

So needless to say the pictures of her 1st day were less than awesome. But she had a great day and came home and proclaimed that her teacher is THE BEST TEACHER IN THE WORLD!!!
