Last Day of school

First day of school
Last day of school

This year has gone so fast and has been great.

She loved her class, her friends and her teachers.

She was thrilled to find out that she made the cut for 1st grade.

Which made me laugh hysterically.

She asked me approx. 100x today when we were going to have writing workshop, math centers, language arts, etc. I just laughed.

She was invited to an end of the year pool party for some friends from her class.

So I took just her and it ended up being all boys and Abbey.

I didn't realize it was so obvious she only has brothers.

What was funny about the whole party was that the boys were wrestling and shooting each other with water blasters and Abigail was back floating on a noodle just enjoying the peace.

That's my girl.

Joseph

Joseph turned 30(!!!) on the 9th of June.
We had a fun little party here at home. Pizza and cake, naturally.
Lots of presents and MarioKart.
I'm not sure how we got here. We started dating when we were 18 and 19.
YIKES.
Joseph is the most amazing man and Father I could ever imagine.
He is my bestfriend and confidant.
He is tender and gentle with me and with our children. He is a problem solver and he loves to learn..about everything.
He can fix anything.....and I mean anything. I love that. (this is something that among other things I hope Abigail looks for in her future husband, it is priceless)
He works hard and is very talented and respected in his field.
Everyone who knows Joseph loves him. He is a good friend and would give anyone the shirt off his back.
I am grateful that my children have his example to follow.
I love you, Joseph.

Never underestimate my craftiness.....

please excuse the lame ipad photo.

Today is Abbey's last day of school.
So I made some carmelitas for her teachers and put them in these cute bags.
Sometimes I surprise myself.
I printed out little business cards with Abbey's name, phone number and email address so she can give them to her friends.
I can tell that she is a bit sad about the end of school.
She teared up yesterday while telling me she is going to miss her teacher, Miss Murphy and her friends.
Growing up is sad.
She is excited about our trips to Florida and to the beach but she loves school.
It's a good thing we'll have school (at home) for an hour, everyday.
Happy Summer!

Our smart girl

Abbey came home from school yesterday with her testing results.

We are so proud of her.

I gave her a big hug and told her how proud of her I am.

She was like "what did I do?!"

I told her how well she had done on her testing and she was beaming.

It's so fun to watch her learn and grow.

She LOVES to read and can often be found curled up with a book or reading EVERYTHING she sees, which can be good and bad.

Way to go Abbey!

Quatro

We are expecting another little boy around the 13th of October!

We are very excited.

This pregnancy has gone much like the others...uneventful (and I am grateful),

other than having to get my thyroid in check and sending me to a growth specialist because my kids now carry the label "macrosomia" aka big baby.

I had to take the gestational diabetes test at 11weeks which really was just too much. And I get to take it again at 26wks and again at 33wks. JOY! (sense the sarcasm?)

My husband was a fathead baby which = fathead kids. Not diabetes.

We are super happy and Abigail (who I thought was going to fuh-reak out) was easily consoled by the fact that she will never have to share clothes, shoes, makeup, or a BEDROOM!!

His name will be Joseph Eli. And I am going against EVERYTHING I believe and we will call him Eli.

And after this little man arrives our family will be complete!

What a great feeling!

Jacks last day of school

Last Friday was Jacks last day of school.

We had a pizza party and played on the playground with his friends.

He has such a cute class and they all get along really well, which is a good thing because 10 of them with move on to the 5 day pre-k next year!
He asks everyday if it's time to go back to school again.

Apparently September can't come soon enough!

Typical Josh. Every morning he RUNS into Jacks classroom and tries to play with everything he can before I snatch him up. As soon as he's potty-trained we'll be sending him 2 days a week.

doing some crafting

pizza with friends

cheese!

Jacks teacher Miss Patty. She gave Jack the award of being "The Most Affectionate Child".

Jacks 2 best buddies Ryan and Dylan.

They are such cute friends.
