Monster Jam

The night before Jack's birthday party Jack and Joseph headed Downtown to see Monster Jam!
wanna know a secret? I loved monster trucks as a kid. that's what happens when you grow up in the country.
The show started at bedtime. opps. Jack had a great time. He loved seeing all the big trucks, crunching cars, roaring engines, etc.
He mostly loved Grave Digger, the Bat Mobile and some truck that looked like a dog that had a tongue that wagged. The puppy truck also broke it's front axle 2 times and he was able to see a tow truck tow the big trucks around the arena.
He also learned he doesn't like cotton candy.

Jack turns 5!

Jack turned 5! I cannot believe that my first baby boy is 5! Where does the time go?!
He had been asking every day to have a party at Pump It Up... so we did. We invited all his friends from pre-k and his cousins.
About an hour before his party started he kept telling me that his throat was hurting. So I glance in his mouth, looks fine, give him a swig of Motrin and off we go to party and eat cake.
About half way through his party he just laid down on the floor and then got up and asked me to hold him. So here I am carrying around my 45lb child like he is a baby.
He gets a second wind and off he goes. I figured he was just tired from being out late the night before.
Well it turns out that he had STREP! awesome. Man I'm a really good Mom. I exposed all of our party guests to the lovely strep bug. On the bright side he got it from all the kids at school so I'm pretty sure they were all on antibiotics. As far as I know no one got sick. But poor Ashley ended up with some weird throat thing that wasn't strep. weird. Sorry guys. Jack had a great party. We love our boy so much and cannot imagine our family without him. He is all boy. And he is so sweet.
Happy Birthday Jack!
