The night before Mothers Day Joseph took me out for my favorite...japanese food. YUM.
We enjoyed our wonderful meal and eachother. We had about 15hrs worth of stories and conversation that had been saved up since we can't ever seem to talk when our kids are around.
So it was fun to talk and laugh for awhile.
Well the laughing ended there.
After dinner I checked my phone and saw that the babysitter sent a text that Jack and Abbey were out of bed.
Ummmm what?!
They totally know better than to get out of their beds.
They have never even tried it.
So I call tell her to put them back in bed and if they get out again to call and we would come home and handle it.
Well they got out 2 more times.
So our night is over and we head home.
I walk in- they cry, apologize, cry some more.
It was sad and sorta funny.
Bikes and scooters were lost for the week.
Sunday morning they woke and preformed a show for me.
Jack on air guitar, Joseph on some sort of horn and Abbey on drums.
It was hysterical.
I received lovely pictures, cards, a golden shoe with flowers stuff in it (?), my favorite strawberry chiffon cake, a beautiful new outfit from my favorite store.
I am a lucky girl.
PS. My baby also took his 1st steps on Mothers Day. so bittersweet. He is all over the place now.
