Girls Weekend!

This past weekend several of my girlfriends flew into town to spend the weekend in the city.
Carin flew in from Seattle, Fernanda from NYC, and Dana from Chi-town.
We spent early Friday evening wandering around Georgetown and ate at Rice.
Rice has the most amazing Thai food.
We noshed on crispy pineapple chicken, drunken noodles, pumpkin empanadas, pad thai, panang curry, taro spring rolls, etc.
Delish. And beautiful.
One good thing (out of many) about my girl friends is...they love to eat as much as I do.

Saturday they checked out the sights in DC and I took my Princess to a Princess Bday party.
It was fun to be with just her for a bit.
That afternoon I returned to the city and we shopped and ate somemore.
We ate at Rosa Mexicano.
So amazingly good.
They make their guacamole in a molcajete at your table just to your liking.
We ate 3 bowls. I can still taste it.
For dinner we dined on empanada de jaiba, flautas de pollo, suizas, tacos de pollo.
And topped it off with a cupcake to celebrate Carin's birthday.
I adore my girlfriends. It was so fun to be with them. It had been too long since we had last seen one another.
Carin is doing some big things and her foundation will be kicking off in July to celebrate Ben's birthday.
He would have been 5 in July. Their gala is Sept 10th in Seattle. I can't wait to go.

Dana is busy dressing the *stars*. She has a fantastically funny blog and will find you anything you like or something like it that might not cost you half your life savings.

Amy is busy developing programming for the Discovery Channel. She's kindof a big deal. She lives 15mins away and she's hilarious.

Fe and I are boring and hope that our more famous friends will remember us when they hit it big.

So grateful for such kind and wonderful friends.
Thanks for coming to visit Amy and I.
