I feel like I'm pretty good at rolling with the punches. But this week takes the cake.
Sunday- Abbey's sweet teacher brings her to Joseph during the 3rd hour.
She is burning up with fever.
Go home take a nap. Jack is burning up with fever too.
Cancel our trip to Amelia's for a SuperBowl Party. Boo.
Monday- We've got burning ears and fire breathing throats. Fevers of 102.5.
Drag all 3 kids to Dr. for a check up. Strep neg. Ears clear.
Take Motrin and Tylenol until it's gone.
Tuesday- All kids home from school. again. Surprise business trip to Key West for Joseph.
Wednesday- Take Jack to school. Garage door breaks. It's 10 degrees outside. Joseph (who can fix anything and everything in the whole world) isn't home. I have to pay some sketchy man 100$ to fix my garage. It takes him 5 mins and a can of WD-40. Grrr.
Thursday-Abbey's ears are on fire. Drag all 3 kids to Dr. for Jacks 4yr check up and Abbey's appt. Abbey has double ear infection. Jack is healthy and happy.
Friday- Kids wake me up at 7am. I know everyone must be feeling better. Huzzah.
Get everyone ready extra early. Walk out to car to see a flat tire.
Seriously. Go fill up stupid leaking tire.
Go sit in carpool lane at Abbey's school to wait till drop off time.
5yr old refuses to leave car. Move car. Drag 5yr old out of car. Remove 5yr old from my leg. Push her towards the building. Watch her scream through her tears "I'm not going to school I'm not comfortable!!" *what does that even mean?*
Throw 5yr old back in car.
Try not to say swear words.
Drop off Jack at school. Where he so sweetly reminds me that he is" being so good and making good choices".
Take 5yr old back to school. Drag her and the baby into the school.
Walk her to class. Peel her from my leg. Listen to her beg me to homeschool her (where does she get this? HOMESCHOOL IS NOT AN OPTION!), finally the aide comes to my rescue and takes her into the class.
Run like...you know what out of the school.
Receive email from teacher that she is just fine. Walked into class, dried her eyes, settled and started doing her work.
I mean seriously, come on. Give me a break.
I know I'm cool and fun to be around. But not going to school is not an option.
I'm grateful I didn't give in and take her home.
This afternoon she got in the car gave me a smooch and said she was sorry.
*sigh*
I'm headed to the Red Door tomorrow.
Let's hope next week is a bit better.

Hope today is nice and relaxing for you--sounds like you earned it! Wow, what a week!
Hope you had a fabulous day at Red Door - you so deserved it Lady! I'm so sorry for your week of total suckage!
Next week is going to be so much better--if nothing else, it's going to be 60 degrees, so you can just open the door and let them run while you *try not to say swear words* :) heehee xoxo
We talked on Friday while it was still upsetting and traumatic. Now it's Sunday and it's hilarious. I hope you feel that way too.
LOL about Jack's comment. Too funny. Hope you were able to relax.
