Busy busy busy

We've been busy.
Last Thursday we took the kids into the city for a baseball game.
It was so fun, they loved riding the Metro.
As usual I hated it. So so gross. And I'm not the germaphobe.
And we ran into some of our good friends on our way home.
That was super fun.

Friday night Joseph and I had to attend a Gala at our Alma Mater for his company.
We invited some friends as our guests which made the night that much sweeter.
Dane is a student in the Engineering school (where Joseph graduated from) and we happened to sit at the table with his current Professor.
He was so so funny and his wife was a true Southern Belle.
She asked where I grew up and I told her.
She wanted to know where my accent went.
I told her I gave it up in 1999 because no one took me seriously.
She thought that was hilarious.

Saturday James and Amelia drove up to have dinner and hang out.
The kids rode bikes, ran, played, etc.
We ate CPK for dinner. Amelia and I made all the kids drinks Shirley Temples but one.
Then we drank them all. HA. Or maybe I drank them all.
We got out the fire pit and roasted marshmallows for smores.
It was the perfect night.
I'm so grateful we have family closer now.
I also let my kids stay awake until after 9pm, which for me is unheard of.
I'm a rebel in my old age.

And this week brings on the barrage of May.
This month will bring the 1st birthday of my baby
Joseph's graduation
Girls weekend in the city
Mothers Day
Trip to the beach
Muddy Buddy
Saying goodbye to darling friends
Last day of school until fall

I hope I make it out alive. and with some sanity left.

P.S.I registered my baby for K 2 weeks ago. It was so bittersweet.
I cannot believe she will be gone 5 days a week, ALL day.
I'm going to miss her so so much.
But I'm not going to think about it for now.

Now for pics b/c it's late and I'm too lazy to put them where they belong.
