Rainy Day baking

In an effort not to break the bank while it continues to pour down rain Abigail and I decided to bake some banana bread to curb our appetites and have some indoor fun. Abbey is quite the little baker. She loves to help cook and be in the kitchen.
Mimi's Banana Bread
my grandmothers recipe
1 stick butter softened
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1.5 cups flour
1/2 cup sour cream
1 cup over ripe banana mashed
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix well. Add rest of dry ingredients. Mix well. Add banana and sourcream. Mix. Makes one loaf. Grease loaf pan. Bake at 350 for 1 hour.
(I can usually get 2 loaves out of this recipe)

She and Keira...little chefs in the making! If only Keira would cook more of the cookie dough than eat it...oh well...thats the best part anyway right? I should just freeze dough balls for snacks..forget the cookies!
